Overview

Reeled out like Silk is a prophet of the Church of Sovereign Light who appeared in the Road To session "The Fall of the Serpent". They were played by Lauren, and built using the Paradigm playbook. 

Appearance

Reeled out like Silk, like most prophets, is an android approximately the size of an average human. Their plating is smooth, golden, and simple, though beautifully and carefully made, and their face is a smooth plate of gold. During their appearance they wore simple but fine clothing - loose pants and a tunic.

History

Reeled out like Silk was one of the original Prophets awakened during the (). They served as  a military strategist during the Expansion. During the schism they sided with the Nurturists, and spent the intervening years before the Conjecture as (). After the Conjecture, Silk was a proponent of significant internal change, advocating for the re-assimilation of the Molten Legion and any non-nurturist Prophets who could be convinced to return. They were also a part of an internal faction of Prophets who believed that the Conjecture meant the end of their ability to sufficiently fulfill their function, and argued that the way forward was to create a better being who was capable of the directive.

The Fall of the Serpent

Reeled out like Silk was sent to the heart of nNull along with Copper Thread Sparking to assist the rebellion in their effort to take the planet. They brought with them a Sovereign Suns flagship and the materials needed to create a temporary sun, which would provide the rebellion the power they needed to fight in the system which normally lacked a star. They foresaw the creation of a specialized infiltration team targeting the Serpent, and volunteered to join, offerring protection from the Serpent's foresight.

When the team reached the Serpent, Reeled out like Silk revealed that their intention had never been to kill the Serpent, but that they wished to convince the Serpent to rejoin the main body of the Prophets. Silk beleived that the Serpent could help them in their mission to create something more than a Prophet, because the Serpent had created itself from the fusion of many Divisionist Prophets. They were mystified by the Serpent's insistence that the new being would be a new form of life entirely, and attempted to protect them from the other insurgents.

They were able to sense Aleph 0's change of heart and the transfer of the Serpent to Aleph 0s body, and allowed the Serpents physical body to be destroyed to protect it's data in Aleph 0. Rather than running to the surface to escape, they followed Aleph 0 and the Serpent further below ground to the "mother" room, and Aleph 0 used their powers to send Reeled out like Silk and the child Aleph to the third Aleph 0 in the City.
