Overview

Ferrous is the human alter-ego of the Prophet Rhymes with Lamb. He was the founder and leader of the Humanitarian movement and a member of the infiltration team that ended the reign of the Serpent.

Appearance

Ferrous is a bearded gentleman in his mid 40s with brown hair and simple robes. He has a medium build and is 5'9". He carries with him multipurpose tools and a small journal. Calm demeanor, clear spoken.

Background

The Prophets

Rhymes with Lamb was a later model of prophet, created after the (). They were not a high governing Prophet, but were built to resemble a human for the purpose of observing humans and collecting data not influenced by the known presence of a prophet, as well as to influence and manipulate human movements and politics in favor of the Prophets. They were designed with a complete human sub-routine to facilitate best possible integration, and believed they were human while in that program. They spent most of their time believing they were human, only returning to their full prophet systems for short periods between human roles, every 20-40 years. During the Schism, Rhymes with Lamb sympathized with the Rejectionists, and when they had control began attempting to isolate themself so that their human subroutine would not be able to manipulate humanity.

The Fall of the Serpent

Ferrous brought the Humanitarians to participate in the final blow against the Serpent. The Humanitarians were feirce supporters of the rebellion due to their anti-synthetic stance. His role as faction leader and his Astir made him eligible for the strike force, and he was motivated to ensure the destruction of the Serpent himself.

During the mission he was questioned extensively by Reeled out like Silk, who took interest in his philosophical positions.

When the group reached the Serpent and Reeled out like Silk focused their shield on the room, they immediately detected Ferrous' nature as a synthetic. The Serpent also inferred this, and the two confronted him with this information, causing the Ferrous subroutine to fail and Rhymes with Lamb to regain control. Rhymes with Lamb scolded the other Prophets for their manipulation of humans, and their folly in thinking they could actually change or do something new.

After the death of the serpent, Rhymes with Lamb escaped to the surface with Slatik and his forces, and was evacuated from the surface at the insistence of Slatik, who stayed behind to make room.
